About the Role
Slade Pharmacy is excited to become the new pharmacy services provider to St John of God Private Hospital Geelong in July 2026. We are seeking a passionate and driven Hospital Pharmacist to join our new team on a permanent part-time basis, working 2 weekdays per week.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while working within a supportive and collaborative hospital environment.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services across both inpatient and discharge settings. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and personalised medication management throughout the patient journey. From conducting medication chart reviews and reconciliations to counselling patients on discharge medications, your expertise will directly contribute to improved health outcomes.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing, inventory coordination, and liaising with hospital staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Whether you're an experienced hospital pharmacist or transitioning from community pharmacy, these roles offer a fantastic opportunity to expand your clinical skills in a dynamic and rewarding setting.
Roster:
This is a permanent part-time position, working 2 weekdays per week. Please indicate your preferred working days and availability when submitting your application.
The pharmacy operates Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm at Slade Pharmacy, St John of God Private Hospital Geelong. Start and finish times may vary slightly based on operational requirements.
Please note that the pharmacy also operates seven days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay and discharge
- Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
About You

Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA General Registration as a Pharmacist
- Experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
