What You’ll Do

Joining us as a Pharmacy Student is a career move that’s not just a step forward - it’s a leap into a more professional, specialised, and impactful future, where your decisions will have a direct impact on the treatment outcomes of patients.

At Slade Pharmacy Box Hill, you’ll work closely with pharmacists, clinicians, nurses, and technicians, manage specialised medications, and contribute meaningfully across the patient journey — from diagnosis through to treatment and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
  • Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
  • Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
  • Provide support and customer service to patients, carers and hospital staff
  • Assist with S2/S3 sales
  • Support the pharmacist
  • Provide support for phone enquiries
  • Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
  • Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
  • Assist with patient account enquiries

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Previous experience dispensing medication in an Australian or New Zealand pharmacy
  • Experience and knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
  • Knowledge of S2/S3 medications
