What You’ll Do
Hospital pharmacy is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key. As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll work alongside Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help maintain smooth pharmacy operations that support multidisciplinary care.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense and supply medication for hospital patients and outpatients.
- Deliver medication and collect rounds to hospital wards.
- Assist with managing ward imprest and stock management activities.
- Support patients, hospital staff and associated employees.
- Pharmacy claims and general administration duties.
Shift information:
- Monday: 08:00am-03:00pm
- Tuesday: 08:00am-02:30pm
- Wednesday to Friday: 08:00am-03:00pm
- Weekend and public holiday availability is not required.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. While hospital pharmacy experience is highly valued, it’s not essential as full training will be provided to aid your transition into this new space. However, previous experience in pharmacy dispensing is required to ensure a confident start in the role.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 1 year dispensing experience in an Australian Pharmacy.
- The ability to work autonomously and in a small team environment.
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-months from time of employment.
Desirable skills & experience:
- Certificate III in community or hospital pharmacy.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy.
- Familiarity with Fred Dispense software.
