Key Responsibilities:
As part of the team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our day hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients, collecting details, and completing admission paperwork.
- Scheduling appointments and preparing consult rooms for clinical sessions.
- Assisting patients with financial processes, including invoicing, billing, and health fund checks.
- Monitoring patient care pathways and ensuring excellent communication throughout their journey.
- Supporting general administrative tasks, including correspondence, discharge procedures, and telephone enquiries.
About You
What We Need From You – Flexibility & Availability:
We’re looking for someone who can support our patients and team with a flexible approach to rostering. This role is casual and may vary week to week, so adaptability is key:
- Availability: Able to work Monday to Friday, with hours that may change based on patient volume and team needs.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with a casual role that could range from no shifts to full-time hours, depending on requirements.
- Passion for Care: Committed to providing exceptional support to patients, families, and colleagues.
What You Bring – Skills & Experience:
We’re ideally seeking someone with the following background and capabilities:
- Experience in day oncology/haematology or a similar inpatient setting (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, and private health insurance processes.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive, personable, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in Word and Excel.
