Patient Service Officer


Job Summary:
Working full-time at our Cancer Centre, you’ll join a truly connected and talented team who are passionate about delivering the best possible patient care.  
This hybrid role mixes patient facing customer service with back of house administration tasks: The best of both worlds!

Responsibilities:   

  • Organising, retrieval and distribution of medical records for our outpatients
  • Sorting and filing medical records where applicable
  • Maintaining the records registers
  • Completing Audits of Medical Records
  • Creating hard charts for clinics
  • Ensuring patients details are checked and updated on a regular basis
  • Providing refreshments for patients
  • Stock ordering and receiving  
  • Providing chaperone services to support patients experience during their visit to our centre
  • Support nursing and pharmacy processes through delivery of medicines between departments 
  • Provide simple observations and vitals for patients during their visit 
  • Manage patient appointments and scheduling
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide appropriate assistance and information
  Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role within the Healthcare industry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and written.
  • Ability to use computer systems – competence required in Word and Excel.
  • Delivery of excellent client service (to internal and/or external clients).
  • Working autonomously, with a focus on compliance, repetitive tasks.
