We are looking for a Senior Radiation Therapist to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre at The Bays in Mornington. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality radiation therapy planning and treatment, as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the RT Manager.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver safe, accurate, and high-quality radiation therapy planning and treatment in line with clinical standards and protocols
- Provide exceptional patient-centred care, with a focus on safety, respect, and compassion
- Maintain and continuously improve the patient experience and quality of service delivery
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, coordinated care
- Support a high-performing, team-based culture focused on quality outcomes
- Treat all patients and their carers with dignity, respect, and equality
- Support the RT Manager in the day-to-day coordination of a planning or treatment unit
- Prioritise and allocate workloads across the team to ensure efficient service delivery
- Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans to support safe and effective care
- Act as a senior technical resource and mentor, contributing to the development and capability of team members

Skills & Experience:
- Proven technical proficiency in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills that inspire the trust and confidence required to build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and a commitment to, the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy services.
- Ability to adhere to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Understanding of the service delivery model within the private healthcare sector.
- Demonstrable capacity to work effectively and positively both independently, and as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Current AHPRA Registered Radiation Therapist with Victorian Radiation Use Licence.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in radiation therapy planning and delivery required to perform patient quality assurance checks
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with capacity to lead small teams under guidance
- Demonstrated capacity to develop, implement, monitor, and report on clinical protocols and adherence
