This executive appointment rounds out Icon’s Executive Leadership Team and reinforces the foundations for the next five-year growth period.
Conal Henderson announced as Icon Group Chief Financial Officer
Icon Group is pleased to welcome our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Conal Henderson.
Conal brings with him extensive healthcare experience having been CFO at Aurora Healthcare Australia, Healthe Care Australia and Luye Medical Group. He has also held the role of Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Healius and Primary Healthe, and was Head of Healthcare, Consumer & Retail at Barclays (Australia) Limited.
Icon Group Chief Executive Officer Mark Middleton said Conal’s considerable healthcare career and in-depth knowledge of finance markets, complex syndicates and back-office integration within rapidly expanding businesses means he is perfectly poised to support Icon’s growth and lead our financial strategy with confidence.

Conal Henderson said is looking forward to joining Icon, noting the company’s considerable growth trajectory over the past five years as an exciting opportunity to make a difference.
“Healthcare is a constantly moving industry, and Icon is pushing the boundaries of cancer care and that’s something I want to be part of. I’m looking forward to joining the team and seeing how we can improve access to healthcare in more regions,” said Conal.
Alongside Conal’s appointment, current CFO, Ross Koscharsky will move into the role of Global Director – Icon Cancer Centre.
Ross’ unparalleled knowledge of Icon Group’s global operations, executive and doctor relationships, and broad leadership skills makes him the ideal person to lead the next stage of Icon’s cancer care portfolio across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Ross has been CFO since the formation of Icon Group and has played a paramount role in the company’s many evolutions. He has led on every acquisition and is adept at leading organisations through change whilst successfully driving significant growth and integration.
“Ross has been an exceptional CFO and his operational knowledge of Icon is second to none. I know he will confidently lead our cancer care offering globally,” said Mark.
“We have an exceptional executive leadership team and I look forward to what the next five years will bring for Icon and most importantly, the people and communities we care for.”
Conal will join Icon’s Executive Leadership Team in early April.
