Icon is proud to announce a new partnership with the International Hospital Federation (IHF) as the collaborative sponsor of the Women in Leadership Special Interest Group (SIG).

This initiative strengthens Icon’s commitment to supporting women in leadership roles across the healthcare sector and highlights the vital contributions women leaders make to improving health outcomes globally.

Empowering women in healthcare

Through this collaboration, Icon will play a leading role in shaping discussions that inspire and empower women leaders in healthcare.

The first workshop under this partnership took place during the recent IHF Congress, marking the beginning of a series of impactful engagements.

Icon Group Chief Medical Director for-United Kingdom, Dr Penny Kechagioglou featured as a guest speaker at the Congress, reinforcing Icon’s voice on a global stage.

“This collaboration is a powerful enabler to positively influence the health systems to better serve women and patients across the world,” she said.

“It also provides the opportunity to drive tangible change, ensuring that leadership reflects the diversity of our patients.”

Building on a global commitment to diversity

This partnership builds on Icon’s Premier Associate Membership of IHF in 2024, signifying an ongoing alliance, built on driving leadership opportunities and better health outcomes.

In addition to bolstering exposure for women leaders, the collaboration further reinforces Icon’s commitment to equity and diversity across all its divisions, fostering meaningful connections and driving lasting change.

In the year ahead, Icon clinicians and executive leaders will participate in workshops exploring gender-responsive health system environments, further embedding diversity and inclusion into healthcare leadership.

This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to influence global conversations and champion diversity, as Icon continues working with IHF to shape a more inclusive future for healthcare.
