Unveiled at the ASTRO Annual Meeting in Boston, the technologies mark another milestone in the Group’s longstanding partnership with Varian, the cancer care business of Siemens Healthineers.
The Group has secured two Accela™ and NeoArc™ systems for its Australian and UK network, reinforcing its commitment to investing in innovation and new technology.
Icon Oncology Group CEO Mark Middleton OAM said the announcement reflected the organisations’ shared focus on improving cancer care for patients globally.
“Our longstanding partnership with Varian has ensured Icon Cancer Centre stays at the forefront of technology and innovation,” Mark said.
“With two machines secured for our Australian and UK network, I’m looking forward to what this next generation technology will deliver for our patients as we continue to bring the best care possible, closer to home.”
Combining advanced imaging, AI-enabled workflows and treatment delivery, Accela™ and NeoArc™ are designed to enhance clinical decision-making, improve precision and streamline workflows for clinical care teams.
The technologies are expected to be introduced at Icon Oncology Group from early 2027.
