Icon Group Named Centre of Excellence by Radformation in Global Partnership
Icon Group (Icon) is proud to announce the signing of a Centre of Excellence Agreement with Radformation, a leading provider of automation software for radiation therapy.
Future healthcare
Under the agreement, which runs through to July 2026, Icon will collaborate with Radformation on a range of initiatives including product testing, the development of case studies, white papers and research projects, and demonstrations for prospective customers.
Executive Manager – Clinical Care, Trent Aland said it’s an exciting step in building out Icon’s AI capabilities.

Real world impact
Icon Group will periodically provide software and workflow demonstrations to Radformation’s prospective customers, similar to its established partnerships with other major technology providers, such as Varian.
The collaboration will also focus on generating evidence around the real-world impact of automation, with particular attention to:
- Effectiveness of AI driven tools to achieve better patient outcomes
- Efficiency and time savings achieved through Radformation software in busy radiation therapy departments
- Evaluation of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven tools to support accuracy and streamline clinical workflows and evolutions in AI
- Emerging opportunities and areas of mutual interest that arise through the use of Radformation’s solutions.

Radformation’s AutoContour has been implemented across Icon’s network to support quality, consistency and rapid plan generation for patients and will look to exploring the implantation of more tools to improve patient care.
