The Opportunity
We are seeking a casual Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team based in the prestigious St. Andrews’s Private War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill, you will work with allied health professionals and doctors to deliver optimum patient-centred pharmaceutical care.
In this role, you will work in both the hospital dispensary and direct clinical involvement with patients. Collaborate closely with a team of allied health professionals and doctors to make a meaningful difference in patient care.

St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250-bed facility and has been providing healthcare to patients since 1958. It is the first private hospital in Queensland to have a cardiac surgical unit, and provides core services which include: Cardiac, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, and Rehabilitation.
About the Role
As a Hospital Pharmacist, you will provide leave and weekend coverage for our pharmacy team. This casual position offers a flexible work-life balance, allowing you to attend to personal matters while maintaining a fulfilling career.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
- Dispensing and supplying medications and pharmacy products.
- Managing patient medication needs during inpatient stays, day infusions, and discharges.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders to ensure outstanding service to patients and clients.
- Providing support and education to patients, carers, and hospital staff.
- Advising on health promotion, disease prevention, and the proper use of medications.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will be an AHPRA-registered pharmacist with experience in an Australian pharmacy setting. You will have a team-focused mindset, a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, and strong communication skills to collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a passion for continuous learning are essential.
To be successful, we require that you possess:
- Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist.
- Relevant experience working in an Australian pharmacy setting.
