We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join us on a permanent part-time basis. Working with our supportive team at Brisbane Private Hospital, you will have the opportunity to enhance your career in an ever-evolving multidisciplinary clinical environment and gain valuable experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
About the Role
As a Hospital Pharmacy Technician, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical pharmacy services to both hospital inpatients and retail customers. Ensuring that all pharmacy activities are completed to a high standard while supporting the quality use of medicines - your responsibilities include:
- Assist patients in our front of shop
- Dispense and supply medication, pharmacy products and OTC products
- Inventory control and management
- Ward imprest
- Process sales transactions and assist with account queries
- Ensure patients and nursing staff receive the correct medication
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
About You
If you have ever thought about making the transition from community/retail pharmacy into the exciting world of hospital pharmacy, this is the opportunity for you! This role is ideal for experienced community Pharmacy Technicians looking to gain hospital experience as full training is provided.
Requirements:
- Have experience dispensing medication in an Australian based pharmacy
- Be able to address client needs with confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism
- Have a high attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Minimum 2 years of dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
