We are seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, located in Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast QLD. Our pharmacy team provides a wide range of products and services to inpatients of the Buderim Private Hospital, including specialised and special access scheme medications.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and broaden your career within a hospital environment. About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting in preparing prescriptions, handling customer queries, and ensuring the timely supply of medications.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality pharmacy services to hospital staff, patients, and customers
- Dispensing and supplying medications for hospital and community patients
- Assisting with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
- Delivering and collecting medications to and from hospital wards
- Entering patient-specific data into the pharmacy database
- Assisting with patient account enquiries and resolving issues
- Liaising with hospital staff and associated personnel
- Supporting the pharmacy team with general administrative tasks
About You
You are a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy setting.
Essential Requirements:
- Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
- Be able to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism
- Have a high attention to detail
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
