We’re offering a permanent full-time position where you’ll not only manage Slade Pharmacy’s involvement in clinical trials but also provide essential support to ensure an efficient, safe, and high-quality pharmacy service for our patients. Based at Frankston Public Surgical Centre, you’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team, seizing every opportunity for growth, change, and improvement in patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and Organize: Manage the supply of cancer care medications, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, using CHARM, our Oncology Information Management software.
  • Clinical Support: Participate in the clinical screening of cancer care medication orders.
  • Dispensing & Supply: Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products to our patients.
  • Clinical Trials Leadership: Actively oversee the setup and delivery of new clinical trials, including drug accountability and preparation.
  • Negotiations & Relationships: Facilitate negotiations with sponsors/CROs and maintain key relationships with oncologists, nurses, and clinical trial staff.
  • Education & Counselling: Provide education and counselling to staff and patients on chemotherapy and clinical trial medications.
About You:
You’re a highly driven pharmacist with a passion for delivering exceptional service and care. You excel in managing your workload and communicating effectively with a wide range of health professionals. You’re ready to build on your clinical skills and knowledge, particularly in oncology and clinical trials, and you’re eager to take your career to the next level.
  
Eligibility Criteria:
  • AHPRA Registered: Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting is required; experience in oncology and/or clinical trials is highly desired.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles and the risks involved in handling hazardous substances.
