We are seeking an Oncology & Clinical Trials Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy Auchenflower, located within the Wesley Specialist Centre. In this vital role, you will provide expert pharmacy services, supporting cancer patients and contributing to clinical research initiatives in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
This opportunity is tailored for Oncology Pharmacists, offering the chance to further develop expertise in Cancer Care and Clinical Trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert pharmacy services in Cancer Care and Clinical Trials, managing complex patient cases and ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Oversee the preparation, dispensing, and management of investigational drugs, ensuring strict adherence to clinical trial protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-focused care and support clinical decision-making.
- Apply professional judgement to adapt clinical practices based on evidence and patient needs.
- Mentor and supervise junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering professional growth and maintaining clinical excellence.
- Actively contribute to clinical trials by supporting protocol implementation, data management, and communication with trial sponsors.
About You
You are an experienced Oncology Pharmacist, passionate about delivering exceptional care to cancer patients and advancing clinical research. With your strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, you’re ready to make a meaningful difference.
To be considered for this position, you will need
- A current AHPRA general registration.
- Oncology Pharmacy experience in an Australian Pharmacy setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and manage interactions with doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive approach to mentoring and supervising less experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in Clinical Trials
