This initiative highlights Icon’s commitment to integrating sustainable practices throughout our operations and caring for our people, planet, and patients.
Icon Group Director of Medical Physics, Anthony Walsh reflected on the teams’ efforts.
“We’ve been supporting our colleagues in the Ukraine for many months now, remotely connecting on clinical training and sharing ideas, it’s been so rewarding for our clinical teams,” said Anthony.
“This latest collaboration from Australia’s medical physics community is truly inspiring, reflecting our shared commitment to supporting peers and cancer patients in need.”
In an effort to reduce Icon’s carbon footprint and medical waste, the donated cancer treatment equipment will support those in affected areas, whilst minimising environmental impacts.
The equipment will assist in providing quality care for patients, improving work environments for people and delivering better care to more people, closer to home.
