Research is fundamental to our shared mission of delivering the best care possible, to as many people as possible, as close to home as possible.
Across the ICC network, research teams conduct sponsor-initiated, collaborative and independent, investigator-led research, often delivered in partnership with hospitals, universities and cooperative clinical trial groups.
Each pathway shares a common purpose – improving outcomes, expanding access to innovative treatments and shaping the future of cancer care.
That commitment continues to grow in scale and impact, with more than 800 patients participating in over 280 studies across 37 sites, supporting research originating in patient care itself, as clinicians identify opportunities to improve treatment, reduce side effects or enhance quality of life.

ICC’s research milestones this year reflect that growth.
In Western Australia, ICC Hollywood launched an integrated theranostics and molecular imaging service in partnership with the Perth Molecular Imaging and Theranostics Centre.
ICC South Brisbane is marking 10 years delivering early-phase clinical trials and is now home to Queensland’s largest private Phase I clinical trials unit.
And a new partnership with GreenLight Clinical CRO is also helping accelerate access to complex trials, including theranostics.
In Singapore and New Zealand, our teams continue to play an increasing role in international clinical trials, connecting patients to innovative therapies and contributing to global evidence generation.
As the ICC network across the UK and Europe continues to develop, the ICC team looks forward to building research partnerships and capability in these regions too.

Today, also marks the release of the Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF) Impact Report – an Australian philanthropic initiative that funds independent, clinician and researcher-led research across the ICC network in Australia.
During 2025/26, ICF supported 18 clinician-led studies across 12 treatment centres, with 287 patients participating in ICF-funded clinical trials and invested in three specialist research roles.
