The agreement comes off the back of Icon’s growing Asian footprint and will provide the local cancer community with increased access to comprehensive care close to home.
The agreement was confirmed on 16th March, when Vietnamese Prime Minister, His Excellency Mr Nguyen Xuan Phuc, met with Icon Group at the Vietnam-Australia Business Forum.
Icon Group is delivering an ambitious growth profile in Australasian healthcare, with Vietnam and China key focus areas. These agreements mark a significant milestone in Icon Group’s vision to make an impact on global cancer. Vietnam faces a growing burden of cancer with an expected 70% increase in diagnoses over the next two decades and without the number of oncology treatment facilities and workforce capacity, this demand for cancer treatment will not be met.
