Icon Group (Icon) has elevated its global presence by becoming a Premier Associate Member of the International Hospital Federation (IHF), a leading global network of hospitals and healthcare organisations.

This strategic development underscores Icon’s position as a leader in healthcare and reinforces its dedication to delivering top-tier care worldwide.

Enhancing global collaboration and innovation

With a proven history of successful partnerships, Icon Group emphasises the importance of industry collaboration in advancing patient care.

This new membership with the IHF aligns seamlessly with Icon’s ongoing collaborations, such as those with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and City Cancer Challenge (C/Can).

By joining the IHF, Icon Group collaborates with a vast network of over 25,000 hospitals and 140 members across more than 60 countries, providing invaluable opportunities for knowledge exchange and adoption of global best practices.

Group CEO, Mark Middleton OAM said this will enable Icon to deliver the best possible care.

“Being members of IHF will provide our teams greater access to international collaboration and enhance our ability to deliver world-class care,” said Mark.

“By connecting with like-minded organisations around the world we can remain at the forefront of global healthcare and foster a culture of continual learning to deliver cutting-edge and exceptional care to our patients.”

Training and Development

IHF’s focus on supporting healthcare leaders through training and development aligns with Icon’s commitment to continuous learning and improvement. As members, Icon employees will have access to IHF’s learning platforms including the World Hospital Congress, Young Executive Leaders Program and participation in Special Interest Groups.

ESG Strategy

Icon will also have access to IHF’s Geneva Sustainability Centre which supports hospitals and healthcare services to address sustainability challenges and provides education, tools and skills to drive sustainable transformation at leadership, management, and institutional levels. This will be a great resource as Icon continues its commitment to ESG, learn more.

Fostering partnerships

Icon has a strong track record of partnerships and believes industry and community collaboration at all levels enables exceptional patient care. This new membership complements Icon’s current industry partnerships including Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and City Cancer Challenge (C/Can).

“We connect with member organisations as well as leading industry organisations and patient advocacy groups to continuously improve the way we care, support and treat cancer patients,” said Mark.

“We look forward to the opportunities this membership will bring and are excited about the positive impact it will have on our patients, doctors and our team,” said Mark.
