Care for People: Recognising World Mental Health Day

Our team has put together a resource hub and a calendar of optional information sessions (live and recorded), offering practical tips and advice to help our people understand and prioritise wellbeing – not just for themselves but also teammates, friends and family as well as our patients and customers. 

Alongside this, Icon provides its employees and their families with a variety of resources to ensure they feel supported and heard.  

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers confidential counselling to all staff at any time, in addition to our accredited Mental Health First Aid Officers (MHFAOs), who are trained to listen, support and guide colleagues when they need help. 

Through our Employee Led Inclusion Groups (ELIGs), Icon nurtures an inclusive and supportive work environment. Our ELIGs (All Abilities, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Gender Equality, LGBTQIA+ and Indigenous) provide an opportunity for employees to play an active role in championing inclusion and belonging and developing initiatives and campaigns that reflect the diverse experiences of our people and patients. These employee-led initiatives help our employees feel empowered and connected, which shapes the positive workplace culture at Icon. 

Mental health matters always. We encourage everyone to check in with themselves, their teammates, friends and family, and those around them – not just today, but every day, as we continue to build a community where everyone feels safe and supported.
