Icon Group and Evidia appoint Dirk Wördemann to strengthen cancer care operations in Germany

Icon Group (Icon), in partnership with Evidia, has appointed Dirk Wördemann as Executive Manager, Operations Germany, a key leadership step in strengthening cancer care operations in Germany by bringing together strong local delivery, international oncology expertise and a shared ambition to improve access to high-quality, integrated care for more patients. 

Joining in April, Dirk will lead operational performance and strategic development across German operations, helping bring together Evidia’s local expertise in radiology and radiotherapy, and strong German footprint, with Icon’s international oncology expertise, advanced radiotherapy technologies and integrated care model. 

A people-centred approach to operations  

Dirk is recognised for his structured, people-centred leadership style and his ability to build sustainable organisations through strong governance, engaged teams and a clear focus on care delivery. He holds a Master of Education and is fluent in German and English. 

Commenting on his appointment, Dirk said: 

 “What excites me most is the opportunity to exchange diverse experiences, bringing together Evidia’s local expertise with Icon’s international oncology capability. The opportunity to establish and develop integrated oncological care structures is incredibly compelling. I’m excited to learn from both teams and shape stronger, more connected cancer care for patients in Germany.”

Dirk will commence with Icon Group and Evidia in April and will be based in Germany.
