Icon Group’s UK-based Pharmaxo Healthcare has been recognised at the 2026 Moondance Cancer Awards in Wales, highlighting the growing impact of delivering cancer care closer to home.

Pharmaxo Healthcare, in partnership with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, received the Collaborating with Partners Award for its Delivering Myeloma Treatment at Home initiative – an innovative model enabling eligible patients across Wales to receive treatment in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

By reducing the need for hospital visits, the program supports greater independence for patients while improving convenience, comfort, and overall care experience during treatment – a time when reducing disruption to daily life is critical.

Part of Icon Group, Pharmaxo Healthcare plays a key role in expanding access to integrated, community-based cancer care across the UK.

Through its specialised model of out-of-hospital delivery, Pharmaxo is helping to bring high-quality treatment beyond traditional clinical settings into patients’ homes.

Marking the award win, Pharmaxo’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian Muir highlighted the importance of collaboration in improving access to care and patient experience.

“We’re honoured to have this initiative recognised,” Ian said. “It highlights the impact of bringing world-class cancer care closer to home, particularly during a challenging time for patients.”

The recognition underscores the role of partnership-led innovation expanding access to care and improving outcomes – reflecting Icon Group’s commitment to delivering the best care possible, to more people, closer to home.
