The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll be providing management accounting services to Global Head Office functions, based in South Brisbane, and supporting consolidation and financial reporting for the Group.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in a junior accounting role who has the confidence to manage tasks independently and is seeking exposure to a group role within a large multi-national organisation.
What You’ll do
- Prepare and process standard month-end journals.
- Complete accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process recharges and reconcile intercompany loan accounts.
- Manage fixed asset and lease accounting.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), FBT returns.
- Analyse monthly results against budget and assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Support year-end financial reporting and audit related tasks.
Essential
- Experience in a similar Accountant or Junior Accountant role.
- Strong excel skills.
- Confidence to work independently while building collaborative relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance.
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics D365.
