What You’ll Do
As our Accounts Receivable Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for patient billing enquiries. You’ll help patients understand their medical bills and provide support with outstanding balances. While there are some low-level debt collection responsibilities, these are limited to notifying patients of minor arrears.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to a high volume of patient account queries via phone and email.
  • Managing day-to-day administrative tasks related to customer accounts.
  • Monitoring and managing outstanding debts.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Processing invoices and performing minor reconciliations.

What You’ll Bring
This role requires the ability to manage a high volume of incoming patient enquiries, primarily over the phone. There will be times when your day is almost entirely focused on responding to these queries. While full training will be provided, we are currently seeking applicants with prior experience in high-volume customer telephone service environments to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
  
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in customer support roles.
  • Proven experience handling high-volume and complex phone queries.
  • Great communications skills with the ability to deal with sensitive health care situations through an empathetic approach.
  • Time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise workload.
  • Permanent Australian working rights.

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Customer support experience in the healthcare, banking or insurance.
  • Experience working in call centre environments.
