About the Role:
The role is for an integral member of the clinical and management team, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager and Site Manager to ensure effective management and the ongoing development of the nursing service. 

This is a full-time permanent position which entails working a 76 hour fortnight (Monday – Friday).
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient-centred care within a safe and coordinated clinical environment by supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and Site Manager in the day to day operations.
  • Work collaboratively to provide effective, visible leadership and supervision locally.
  • Contribute expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice in accordance with current legislation and professional standards and codes of practice
  • Understand daily departmental requirements and forecast activity to facilitate appropriate and effective resource management.

Skills & Experience:
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Post graduate qualification in oncology and/or leadership and management (highly regarded)
  • Relevant post registration clinical experience in radiation oncology nursing
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills that inspire the trust and confidence required to lead
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Standards for Clinical Excellence and ACHS Accreditation Standards.
  • Evidence of a commitment to patient/customer service, clinical governance and quality improvement.
