About the Role:
We have an opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join us on a full-time basis to provide medication safety services and opioid stewardship at St John of God Private Hospital in Perth.
  
Working closely with the Icon Group Pharmacy Practice Unit, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of Medication Safety initiatives and Opioid Stewardship Program to both St John of God Murdoch and Mount Lawley campuses. 
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in a safe and professional manner to St John of God Murdoch Hospital patients, clients and carers
  • Contribute to the education of the pharmacy teams and other health professionals within the organisation on health promotion, disease prevention and the proper use of medicines
  • Medication safety:
      • Become a member of the SJOG Hospital Murdoch Medication safety committee.
      • Partner with the Hospital to implement medication safety through governance and quality improvement measures using a range of tools.
      • Facilitate auditing to ensure effective implementation of medication safety measures.
  • Develop and deliver Opioid Stewardship Program:
      • Become a member of the Opioid Stewardship subcommittee.
      • Support SJOG Hospital Murdoch in implementing the new medication Safety Opioid Stewardship standards.
  • Dispense and supply medications in line with legal and professional requirements

Skills & Experience:
  • Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration clinical experience
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and time management skills 
  • Proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service with sensitivity, compassion and professionalism
