About the Role
In this Clinical Pharmacist role, you will be part of a rotational team working across the following 3 Pharmacy sites in the area:
- Port Macquarie Base Hospital (Primary location)
- Kempsey District Hospital
- Wauchope Memorial District Hospital
Specific Incentives & Benefits (when based outside of PMQ Base Hospital)
- Incentive Allowance – This is a fixed allowance on top of the base salary
- Mileage Allowance – Be compensated for petrol costs and depreciation of when using your personal vehicle for work purposes. TOIL and additional mileage allowances are provided for further travel.
- Overnight Allowance – On occasions where work takes you away for more than a day.
Responsibilities
- Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educating and advising staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines
Shift Information
- Monday to Friday with rotational on-call and weekend shifts. Penalty rates and allowances applicable.

Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA general registration as a Pharmacist.
- Australian working rights for a minimum duration of 12-months (contract role).
- Permanent Australian working rights (permanent role).
- Current driver’s license and road worthy vehicle.
