About the Role
As a Finance Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Icon Group. This includes processing transactions, reconciling accounts, assisting with reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, supported by experienced leaders in a team that values collaboration and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-month activities in line with the finance timetable, including:
- Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Revenue reconciliations for multiple sites
- Preparation of general and standing journals
- Manage debtors and assist with capitalisation of projects.
- Assist with Fringe Benefits Tax computations.
- Support the year-end audit process.
- Contribute to the development and consistent application of accounting/business policies and procedures.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company law, and tax requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard stakeholder privacy.
About You
You’re an experienced finance professional with strong attention to detail. Experience in a corporate or healthcare setting is highly regarded, but your willingness to learn and grow is what truly sets you apart.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant diploma or degree qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to service excellence
- Basic understanding of GST and PAYG obligations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in a corporate or private healthcare environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365)
- Understanding of financial reporting and audit processes
