An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Radiation Therapist to join Icon’s Clinical Care team. This role is a Group level role supporting collaboration projects and the implementation of new technology across the Icon network in Australia.
Icon Group offers state-of-the-art radiotherapy services across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Mainland China with many of these centres providing advanced treatments such as stereotactic radiation therapy, adaptive radiotherapy, RapidArc Dynamic treatment planning, HyperSight online imaging and surface guided radiation therapy.
Equipment across the Icon Cancer Centre network includes, but is not limited to, Varian TrueBeam / Halcyon / Ethos / Clinac linear accelerators, Varian Identify and the VisionRT AlignRT SGRT systems, Brainlab Exactrac systems, all operating with Varian Eclipse Treatment Planning Systems and Aria oncology information systems. Stereotactic treatments that are offered include SRS, SRT, and SBRT through traditional linacs and advanced delivery systems such as the Elekta Leksell Gamma Knife and Accuray CyberKnife.
The Group Radiation Therapist will work primarily with the Clinical Care Development & Implementation team and broader Clinical Care team, in contributing to the exploration of new and emerging technologies through vendor collaborations as well as the development and Implementation of new technology and techniques across the network.

About you:
The successful applicant will be highly motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and will be required to take on an integral role in the implementation of new technology. The individual will have the experience and capability to act at a radiation therapist level and will be capable of taking initiative to ensure implementation timelines are met on time. Due to the nature of the role, there will be travel required to visit sites across the network both nationally and internationally. The applicant will be able to plan and deliver on structured verification of novel clinical solutions, and ensure timelines are met for reporting to external parties and implementation within Icon clinics.
Essential Criteria:
- ASMIRT certification
- Extensive experience (5 years+) with treatment planning and treatment delivery on a range of delivery systems, inclusive of Varian TrueBeam and Varian Halcyon linacs
- Evidence of contributing to/participating in development projects or other project level work
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated high levels of communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary team
- Capable of self-directed work and possessing excellent problem-solving skills.
