About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Group Software Engineer to join our global team at our South Brisbane head office. This permanent full-time role is pivotal in developing and maintaining advanced radiotherapy software solutions that enhance clinical workflows and improve patient care across Icon Cancer Centres.
You will work with industry-leading platforms such as Varian Eclipse and ARIA, and collaborate with clinical and IT teams to deliver secure, efficient, and compliant software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Varian Eclipse Scripting API (ESAPI) and ARIA API.
- Create custom treatment planning tools and automation scripts.
- Develop secure data exchange mechanisms and reporting tools.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and clinical staff.
- Ensure software solutions meet healthcare industry standards and cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners including vendors and regulatory bodies.
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in software development with ESAPI and ARIA API.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare software development within a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, SQL Server, HL7, and DICOM standards.
- Experience with Visual Studio and GIT version control.
- Understanding of radiotherapy physics and clinical workflows.
- Familiarity with healthcare quality management systems.
