What You’ll Do
Hospital pharmacy offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key, and your decisions will have a direct impact on the treatment outcomes of patients.
  

• Heavy involvement with Oncology – ordering and supplying Chemotherapy and working with the Oncology team to provide clinical checks for Oncology patients.
• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
• Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
• Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines

  
What You’ll Bring
You are an adaptable Pharmacist who possess strong communication, interpersonal skills, the ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload to deliver the best possible care to patients.

Early career Pharmacists with at least 1 years’ practice experience are encouraged to apply, prior experience in hospital pharmacy is not required as full training is provided.

Essential Requirements

• Be a current AHPRA registered pharmacist or a Pharmacy intern awaiting general registration from AHPRA.
• Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
• Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
