The opportunity:
We are seeking a pharmacist to partner with our Epic Pharmacy team on a casual basis. In addition to working in the pharmacy’s dispensary, this role will include hands-on clinical involvement. Partner with an expert team of allied health members and doctors to leave a positive impact on patient care.

This position offers a great deal of flexibility. We are ideally looking for a candidate who wants to gain experience in a hospital setting by filling in planned and short notice shifts to cover staff absences at both our Kangaroo Point and Northside St Vincent’s locations. The shifts on offer are primarily weekdays, with some occasional weekend morning shifts also available.

Our Kangaroo Point location is open from Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm, with additional hours available on weekends at our Northside location.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
  • Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, and discharge
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
  • Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines

Who are we looking for?
  • Current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous experience in an Australian based hospital pharmacy. Community pharmacists are encouraged to apply as we will provide you with full training.
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
