What You’ll Do
As a Pharmacist at Mater Private Hospital Townsville, you will provide hands-on clinical pharmacy services, support patient care and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. This is the perfect environment to sharpen your skills and gain experience that will open doors to future opportunities.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
  • Conduct medication history interviews and reconciliation at transitions of care.
  • Provide medication counselling and education to patients.
  • Monitor medication outcomes and manage adverse drug reactions.
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide the best patient care.
  • Participate in training sessions for pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff.
  • Support quality use of medicines through various audits and projects.
  
Our full-time roster runs Monday to Friday with one short weekend shift every fortnight, giving you ample time to enjoy the stunning outdoors.
  
What You’ll Bring

Essential Requirements
  • General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
  • Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-month from start of employment.
  • Personal Indemnity insurance.
  
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
