About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Slade Pharmacy Albert Street, located onsite at Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital in East Melbourne. This role is ideal for someone looking to diversify their pharmacy career and experience the hospital setting while working a single Saturday shift each week.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering medications and personalised support to hospital patients and staff. This is not your average retail pharmacy role – you’ll step into a hospital environment and gain exposure to multidisciplinary services, including compounding. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported.

Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications under supervision for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist with maintaining ward stock and imprest levels
- Process PBS claims and reconcile prescriptions
- Provide support to patients, carers, and hospital staff
- Complete administrative and record-keeping duties
About You
You are a motivated and customer-focused pharmacy professional who is looking for an opportunity to grow within a supportive hospital pharmacy team.
You may be:
- An experienced dispensary technician seeking a new challenge, or
- A pharmacy assistant with dispensing experience eager to transition into a hospital setting.
You’re organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality service. You value attention to detail and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience dispensing medications in an Australian-based hospital or community pharmacy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
- Availability to work the Saturday shift
- Australian working rights
Desirable (but not essential):
- Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy (Dispensary Technician) or equivalent recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience – training will be provided
