What You’ll Do
Hospital Pharmacy is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key. As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll work alongside Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help maintain smooth pharmacy operations that support multidisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high level pharmacy services to the hospital staff, patients and customers
- Dispense and supply medications for hospital and cancer patients
- Assist with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
- Undertake delivery and collection of medications to hospital wards
- Complete data entry of patient specific information into database
- Assist with patient account enquiries
- Liaise with hospital staff and associated employees
- Assist the pharmacy teams with any general administration
What You’ll Bring
While hospital pharmacy experience is highly valued, it’s not essential as full training will be provided to aid your transition into this new space. This includes dedicated training in imprest management to support your development in hospital pharmacy operations. Previous experience in pharmacy dispensing is required to ensure a confident start in the role.
Eligibility Requirements
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-months from date of employment.
- Dispensing experience in an Australia-based Pharmacy.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in Hospital Pharmacy.
- Certificate III/IV in pharmacy (community or hospital) or equivalent.
