Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for a passionate individual to become a vital part of our dynamic team at Slade Pharmacy, located within Mulgrave Private Hospital in Victoria.
This is a unique opportunity to gain highly sought-after hospital pharmacy experience while specialising in cancer care. You’ll work alongside a compassionate, multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional pharmacy services to both the hospital and its patients.
If you’re currently working in community pharmacy and eager to move into a hospital setting, this role offers a perfect opportunity as hands-on training will be provided to ensure your successful transition.
Mulgrave Private Hospital, located in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, is an acute medical and surgical facility with 240 beds, a 24-hour emergency department, and an ICON Cancer Centre. Owned by Healthe Care since 2007, it has provided over 35 years of healthcare services, including advanced cardiac care and a range of medical and allied health services.
Rostered Hours
This is a permanent part-time role working alternating Saturday and Sunday shifts. The hours are as follows:
- Alternating Saturdays 9:30am – 4:30pm
- Alternating Sundays 8:00am – 1:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
- Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
- Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
- Assist with retail ordering and reconciliation
- Assist with S2/S3 sales
- Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
- Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
- Assist with patient account enquiries

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about joining our team and delivering modern, patient-focused pharmacy services.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience dispensing medication in an Australian or New Zealand based hospital or community pharmacy (essential)
- Be driven by the desire to have a positive impact on another person’s life
- Have time management, communication and teamwork skills
- Be proficient in using FRED dispense software
- Have knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) (highly regarded)
- Have strong customer service skills
- Be adaptable with the ability to prioritise your workload
