We’re seeking an enthusiastic and creative junior graphic designer to sit within our Marketing & Communication Team.

Reporting to the Creative & Brand Experience Manager, this position operates on a full-time, permanent basis at our head office in South Brisbane. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and expand your skills, using your creative mindset in a positive, driven and supportive environment. The role:

As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing an array of online and offline assets from website, intranet and social media imagery to corporate print publications, posters, and flyers. You will need to have a portfolio that shows eye-catching and professional print and digital assets aligned with a company’s brand, mission and values; skills in video editing and animation highly will be regarded.

Key responsibilities:
  • Conceptualise, design, and implement digital and print projects within required timeframes – video and animation skills highly regarded
  • Working with several supporting brands that sit within Icon Group
  • Advise on creative options for design requests within Icon’s brand guidelines
  • Ensure brand consistency in all work produced
  • Support the Marketing & Communication department with creative print and digital requirements
  • Coordinate with key business stakeholders to clarify design activity objectives
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communication Team, other internal stakeholders and preferred suppliers (including printers) to ensure seamless execution of our brand.
About you:

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated person who can take responsibility for their work and collaborate with numerous stakeholders within the business. You should love creating content and experimenting in design and multimedia creative tools. With a qualification in Graphic Design, you will have creative flair, be inspired by contemporary brand and design ideas, and be familiar with working within brand and style guidelines.

If you:
  • Are passionate and versatile, recognising the need to respond to different needs in a busy work environment 
  • Love working with people, are agile and great at nurturing relationships 
  • Are proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Some familiarity with Premiere Pro and After Effects an advantage
  • Sounds understanding of print and digital design principles
