About the Role
We’re looking for a warm, proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer to be the welcoming face of our centre. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and families, helping them feel supported and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.


This is a permanent part-time position (2 or 3 full days per week, Monday to Friday – no weekends!), with flexible hours available to accommodate the right candidate’s needs - including school hours.
Based in beautiful Maroochydore, QLD.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, kindness, and excellence. Every task you complete – from scheduling appointments to supporting our doctors – plays a vital role in someone’s cancer care journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Greeting patients and helping them feel at ease
  • Managing appointments and patient records
  • Handling billing and health fund claims (Medicare, DVA, Private Health)
  • Supporting our doctors and clinical team with administrative tasks
  • Ensuring smooth patient pathways and excellent service delivery
  • Contributing to a safe and positive workplace
  
Who We’re Looking For
You’re someone who brings empathy, energy, and professionalism to everything you do. You love helping people and take pride in delivering outstanding service.

Your skills and experience might include:
  • Previous experience in medical or hospital administration – desirable
  • Professional and friendly phone manner
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Confidence using Word, Excel, and other systems
  • A basic understanding of medical terminology
  • A genuine passion for healthcare and patient support
