The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Pharmacist to join our Slade Pharmacy team at Icon Cancer Centre Southport. This role offers a unique opportunity for Pharmacists to specialise in Oncology Pharmacy, a highly sought-after and rewarding field. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while gaining expertise in this specialised area.
  
With structured training and mentorship, you will develop the skills to provide expert pharmacy services across key areas such as clinical pharmacy, outpatient care, dispensary-based services, and sterile production.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and undertake oncology pharmacy duties, including clinical pharmacy and dispensary, with increasing levels of autonomy as training progresses.
  • Apply professional judgement to a range of cases, developing an evidence-based approach to support the continuum of care.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients/carers, contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.
  • Participate in structured training to gain the skills necessary to provide high-level advice and care within an oncology setting.
  
About You
You are an experienced Pharmacist who is eager to expand your skills and knowledge in Oncology Pharmacy. Your keen interest in Clinical Pharmacy, combined with a proactive attitude, makes you an excellent fit for this role.
  
Eligibility Requirements
  • Permanent Australian working rights
  • Current AHPRA general registration
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Hospital Pharmacy OR 2 years of experience in Community Pharmacy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and manage interactions with doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
  
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Hospital Pharmacy, Oncology and/or Clinical Trials.
