About the Role
As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in providing remote clinical services to patients at public hospital outpatient clinics across New South Wales. Both large metropolitan hospitals and far-flung outreach clinics without an on-site pharmacist will rely on your expertise to ensure patients receive appropriate chemotherapy and any supportive medications required at the right time and place.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organise the supply of cancer therapy for hospital inpatients and day oncology unit patients.
- Develop and utilise your clinical skills to improve the outcome for cancer patients.
- Perform medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
- Record clinical interventions.
- Build relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate and counsel staff, patients and allied health professionals.
About You
We invite applications from early career Pharmacists looking to gain clinical pharmacy experience and specialise in oncology pharmacy. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- Valid AHPRA Pharmacist general registration with no restrictions.
- Minimum 2-year Pharmacist experience in Australia.
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12-months from the date of employment.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in providing remote pharmacy services.
- Familiarity with oncology or clinical pharmacy.
