The Opportunity:
We have an exciting full-time 12 month contract opportunity for a Pharmacy Administration Technician to join our Slade Pharmacy team at our state-of-the-art facility in Mount Kuring-Gai. Working Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, you will be based in the office where you will provide efficient and effective support to our pharmacy team. Comprehensive training will be offered.

Key responsibilities:
  • Management of and dispensing prescriptions for allocated hospitals and clinics
  • PBS prescription processing under the supervision of pharmacist
  • Liaising with health professionals when required
  • Support the patient account process and dealing with account enquiries and payments

Who are we looking for?
We encourage both Community and Hospital Pharmacy Technicians to apply as full training will be provided for the successful candidate. Previous dispensary experience is not mandatory. If you have ever thought about moving away from community pharmacy, then this might just be the perfect opportunity for you!

  
About you:
  • While a background in hospital or community pharmacy as a technician would be highly regarded, this is not essential and prospective candidates with experience in medical reception, general reception work or administration are encouraged to apply
  • This is not a pharmacy technician role in the traditional sense, so your experience in administration and clerical work will be equally well regarded
  • This is an office based role with a large clerical component so you will be confident in the use of the Office 365 suite
  • You will be computer literate and be able to demonstrate an ability to become proficient in use of our pharmacy-specific software
  • You will have the ability to focus and concentrate for significant periods given the exacting nature of the role
  • The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills as you will be liaising with medical professionals within our company as well as at our customer clinics.
  • You will have a valid Australia driver licence and be prepared to visit and liaise with our customer clinics where required using the pharmacy vehicle.
