Based at Slade Pharmacy within Deakin Private Hospital in the ACT, this full-time, 12-month contract position offers the opportunity to support a nationally coordinated toxin program used in the treatment of a range of chronic medical conditions. You’ll be part of a close-knit team responsible for processing PBS authority medications, managing patient account queries, and delivering essential administrative support, while learning the inner workings of a one-of-a-kind pharmacy operation.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, using your strong attention to detail and communication skills to help keep the program running smoothly. The Hours
This full-time position is a 12-month contract, working 38 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, giving you the perfect balance between work and life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense PBS authority medications
  • Assisting with PBS claiming
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in the specialised pharmacy program
  • Assist with patient account inquiries via phone
  • Perform administrative tasks using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
About You
We're looking for a motivated community pharmacy technician or a recent school leaver ready to dive into a unique pharmacy environment. No prior experience? No problem! Our specialised dispensing training program will set you up for success.

To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Previous pharmacy experience is essential
