A rare opportunity for an experienced pharmacist keen to advance their career in the site leadership and management space. We are looking for the next pharmacy manager at the brand-new Slade Pharmacy Adeney Private Hospital.

About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Pharmacy Manager to partner with our collaborative Slade Pharmacy team at the brand-new Adeney Private Hospital in Kew, on a permanent full-time basis. Adeney Private is the first private hospital in Australia to offer patients no out of pocket costs.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your leadership skills by managing a small, dedicated team that provides services to four theatres, one ward and a day oncology unit. Equally you will be welcomed as part of the Adeney family.

Key responsibilities:
  • Ensure the business performs efficiently and achieves key metrics
  • Be involved in the strategic planning and operations of all aspects of the Pharmacy business
  • Motivate, guide and lead our pharmacy team to provide exceptional healthcare and customer service
  • Ensure the business complies with legislation and contractual obligations and continuously improves its clinical and pharmacy services
  • Lead and manage dispensary, retail and clinical services
  • Work closely with the Epworth Freemasons hospital teams to ensure outstanding patient care and customer service.
About you:
We are seeking a passionate pharmacist who can confidently lead and mentor a dynamic team. You will have a can-do attitude, with the ability to identify opportunities for development and growth for the business and think outside the box.

Skills & Experience:
  • Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
  • Current or previous experience leading a team in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • An organised self-starter
  • Versatile and adaptable
  • Able to build effective relationship across executives, nurses, doctors and senior hospital staff
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional pharmacy services to our patients and hospital
About the hospital:
Adeney Private Hospital is a new private hospital in Kew, Victoria, Australia, focused on delivering individualised and affordable private healthcare. It is a short stay private hospital, where both the prehab and rehab care are delivered outside the hospital, providing continuity for patients when they are discharged. The hospital is majority owned by doctors, providing high quality, affordable healthcare. It is the first hospital in Australia that aims to not charge insured patients any out-of-pocket expenses, across all specialties.
