The Opportunity
We are looking for our next Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy team based at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne. This is a full-time 12-month contract role to provide maternity leave cover. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to prove themselves in a leadership role and develop their career in pharmacy management.
  
St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne is a 164-bed facility. Their core specialties include Orthopaedics, ENT/ Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Paediatrics, Oncology, General surgery, Ophthalmology, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Rehabilitation, Urology and Breast Cancer Surgery.

About the Role
In this role, you will manage a diverse team to deliver optimal patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring the business operates profitably and efficiently.
  • Participating in the strategic planning and operations of all aspects of the pharmacy business.
  • Motivating, guiding, and leading the pharmacy team to provide exceptional healthcare services.
  • Actively participating in and overseeing all daily operational activities in the pharmacy.
  • Ensuring the business complies with legislation and contractual obligations, while continuously improving clinical and pharmacy services.
  • Leading and managing dispensary, retail, and clinical services at Albert Street and partner sites.
  • Attending and presenting at key client hospital meetings.
About You
We are seeking a passionate Pharmacist who can confidently lead and mentor a dynamic team. You will possess:
  • A current pharmacist registration with AHPRA
  • Previous leadership experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to build effective relationship across executives, nurses, doctors and senior hospital staff
  • A passion for delivering exceptional pharmacy services to our patients and hospital
  • A knack for identifying opportunities for development and growth for the business with a can-do attitude
