The Opportunity:
We are looking for a part time pharmacy technician to be part of the inaugural Slade Pharmacy team at Adeney Private Hospital. Located in Kew, Adeney Private will be the first private hospital in Australia to offer patients no out of pocket costs.

You will be part of a small team that provides services to four theatres, one ward and a day oncology unit. You will be joined by two pharmacists. Equally you will be welcomed as part of the Adeney family.

This is rare opportunity to be part of a new service startup - and delivery outstanding care to a new group of patients.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight. Shift start and finish times will vary between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm from Monday to Friday.

About the hospital:
Adeney Private Hospital is a new private hospital in Kew, Victoria, Australia, focused on delivering individualised and affordable private healthcare. It is a short stay private hospital, where both the prehab and rehab care are delivered outside the hospital, providing continuity for patients when they are discharged. The hospital is majority owned by doctors, providing high quality, affordable healthcare. It is the first hospital in Australia that aims to not charge insured patients any out-of-pocket expenses, across all specialties.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
  • Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
  • Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
  • Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
  • Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
  • Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
  • Assist with patient account enquiries

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Previous experience dispensing medication in an Australian pharmacy
