Competitive Hourly Rate + additional qualifications allowances + 5 Weeks Annual Leave (pro-rata), Leave Loading. We will accept applications for candidates seeking Full-Time OR Part-Time.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing medical oncology and haematology treatment. This permanent part-time role offers flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
 
As part of a collaborative and research-focused team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care. You will work closely with experienced clinicians and specialists, gaining exposure to advanced treatments and innovative practices. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Site Manager, you will be supported in your professional development and encouraged to grow within a dynamic and expanding organisation that values its people and their impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice in accordance with current legislation and professional standards and codes of practice
  • Monitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusions
  • Patient assessment, observation and education including expert management of treatment related side effects
  • Inserting and care of peripheral and central access devices
  • Assisting doctors with procedures and providing pre and post procedure care and education
  • Maintaining and updating patients written and electronic records
  • Providing emotional support to patients, families and carers
  • Support the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day operations
  • Support a high-performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient centric and collaborative approach

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Hold current registration with AHPRA.
  • Recent experience in Oncology Nursing is desirable but not essential and training will be provided as part of induction (surgical nursing also highly regarded)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the provision of exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care and service.
