Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you’ll deliver personalised, high-quality cancer care to patients and their families in our Medical Oncology division.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert oncology nursing care aligned with current legislation and professional standards
- Administer medications and IV infusions
- Conduct patient assessments and manage treatment-related side effects
- Insert and maintain peripheral and central access devices
- Assist with procedures and provide pre/post-procedure education
- Maintain accurate patient records (written and electronic)
- Offer emotional support to patients, families and carers
- Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centred culture focused on excellence in care
We welcome experienced oncology nurses and those with transferable skills — such as immunocompromised patient care, symptom management, or high-dependency nursing.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- A current AHPRA registration
- Experience in Day Oncology (highly regarded)
- A commitment to exceptional patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence working in high-acuity settings
- IV cannulation skills and knowledge of chemotherapy/supportive therapies (preferred but not essential)
