Registered Nurse (casual)




We are looking for a casual Registered Nurse to join our team at our Icon Cancer Centre Mackay. This position will report to the Nurse Unit Manager and will see you caring for patients within medical oncology and haematology to ensure the delivery of exceptional personalised cancer care.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of chemotherapy, haematology and theranostic IV treatments
  • Demonstrate high level of clinical leadership, teamwork and development of workplace culture
  • Facilitate learning, growth and development opportunities for the nursing team
  • Actively motivate others and maintain an environment of continuous quality improvement
  • Participate in personal role review and professional development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of self and team

Skills & Experience:
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • At least 3 years experience in medical oncology nursing
  • Experience in a high acuity setting
  • Post-graduate study desirable but not essential
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work successfully within a team structure
  • Patient centric approach to nursing
  • Computer skills
