We have an exciting maximum term – full-time opportunity available from March 2025 to September 2025 where you will be responsible for providing optimum patient-focused pharmacy care in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. You will largely be based on site at our Slade Pharmacies located at Tennyson Centre in Kurralta Park and the 480 Specialist Centre at Windsor Gardens, however you will travel to our other pharmacies including Burnside War Memorial Hospital – Toorak Gardens and travel out to our regional sites at the Whyalla and Port Augusta Hospitals.

About the Role
As a Reliever Pharmacist you will be working across multiple sites; covering various periods of planned pharmacist leave while gaining new skills and knowledge across our range of specialties. This is full-time permanent position, and you will be entitled to rotational/reliever rates and benefits where additional travel is required.
Duties include:
- Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Provide advice on drug selection and usage
- Counsel patients on proper use of medicines
- Check the accuracy of prescriptions dispensed by pharmacy technicians
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Conduct ward collection and delivery rounds
- Support and liaise with patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
- Involvement in quality and research activities within the department
As a Clinical Pharmacist, we are seeking someone to cover blocks of planned leave and occasional other leave on short notice. You will be a passionate, flexible, and adaptable. This is a rare opportunity to further develop your skills and gain the chance to work in diverse environments.
Essential Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registered pharmacist with previous experience in an Australian based pharmacy
- A valid Australian driver's licence and roadworthy vehicle are required as this role involves travel
- Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
- Strong time management, communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and adaptable to work within diverse teams in multiple sites across metropolitan and regional SA
- Ready to embrace change and commit to lifelong learning
- Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously
