What You’ll Do
As the Retail Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day activities of the retail area of Slade Pharmacy Toowoomba. Although the role includes regular interaction with hospital teams and outpatient services, the primary focus is on retail pharmacy leadership, operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer service.

This pharmacy operates primarily as a retail pharmacy within a hospital environment, servicing:
  • The on‑site retail pharmacy
  • The neighbouring GP centre
  • Outpatient oncology patients
  • The broader hospital team with medication requests and support

What You’ll Bring
You’re a confident and capable leader who thrives in a fast‑paced pharmacy environment. You bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities with ease.

Your solid background in pharmacy dispensing and retail operations will enable a smooth transition into this leadership role. While prior leadership experience is highly regarded, you’ll be supported with onboarding and guidance to help you succeed as part of our collaborative team.

Essential requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in pharmacy dispensing and retail operations within Australia.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
  • Australian working rights, valid for at least 12 months from date of employment.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with no restrictions on practice
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, PIC or team leadership role.
